The Bison's basketball team is on fire! With a dominant 101-67 victory over Minnesota Crookston, they've secured their 10th win in just 11 games. This incredible streak has the team buzzing, and the fans are loving it!
But here's where it gets interesting: this is the Bison's best start since the 2012-13 season, when they went 16-3. That's an impressive record to beat, but this team is on a mission.
Markhi Strickland, with his 19 points, led the charge for NDSU. Damari Wheeler-Thomas and Andy Stefonowicz also contributed with 14 and 10 points respectively, and Noah Feddersen dominated the boards with six rebounds.
And this is the part most people miss: the Bison's defense was on point too! Tay Smith recorded an impressive six steals, and the team as a whole had 16 steals, showing their all-around dominance.
With nine players scoring at least seven points, it was a true team effort. NDSU's shooting was on target, with a 53% success rate for the game and a solid 39% from beyond the arc.
The only blip in their recent record was an overtime loss to Arkansas State, but even that was a close call.
Now, the Bison are gearing up for their next challenge: the Don Haskins Sun Bowl Invitational in El Paso, Texas. They'll face UC Irvine on December 21st, and then either Norfolk State or UTEP on the 22nd.
So, will the Bison continue their winning streak? Only time will tell, but one thing's for sure: this team is a force to be reckoned with.
