At the age of 87, Fan has made headlines by welcoming a new son with his wife, Xu Meng, who is 37 years old. Fan Zeng is a master of traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy, with a career spanning decades and a global reach. On December 11, Fan took to social media to announce the birth of his son, whom he described as his "sole child." He also revealed that he had moved into a new home with his wife and son, and due to his advanced age, had entrusted Xu with managing family affairs.
However, this joyous occasion was accompanied by a shocking declaration: Fan stated that he was severing ties with his daughter, Fan Xiaohui, and his stepson, Fan Zhongda, and their families. He accused unnamed individuals of spreading rumors and harming his family, and claimed to have revoked all authorizations allowing his other children to act on his behalf.
